Neither of the gods dreamed.

At least, Unicron had never known his brother to dream, and Primus was the one much more prone to doing something so downright organic.

That was why Unicron didn't quite understand the dreaming. He knew he was not awake in the normal sense of the word, or in recharge, either. It wasn't a willing act, something else that made him pause for thought, though he didn't try to leave the dream, or analyze it when he was finally pulled from the depths of it.

He didn't even really remember it after the fact.

The god of darkness pushed it aside, into the back of his processor as a one time occurrence, and didn't think about it again for many of a millennium- when his favorite servant was pulled in.

It seemed that the dream had grown a kernel of its own life force, then its own drifting, moving, consciousness... and finally, it had its own tiny, wondrous little world. Without his help, it had learned to draw beings in, those susceptible to the promises of riches or love, power or freedom.

Humans were its favorite prey, but with the new found strength it targeted the nearest mech...

Unicron would get Sideways back, he refused to lose his most valuable child and servant to anyone, let alone a dream.

With that in mind he moved into it, avatar drifting along, and astonished by the way it warped from pure organic, to the familiar metallic surface of his own body. Orange, silver, and black spires slashed the 'sky', which was the only thing that allowed him to remember that it was not his form he was standing on, but that of a moving, living dimension.

The sky was a bright purple, while its clouds were deep green.

He found Sideways sitting under a large, organic looking, flowering tree, two smaller figures next to him. Human twins in appearance, but most certainly not in reality. It took a fair amount of persuasion, but Unicron didn't mind as he pulled his child out of the dream and into freedom.

Later, when he was sure that Sideways would not wander back inside, he took great pains to set guidelines for the living thing he had created by accident. It could do as it wished with the humans, but any being under his care was off limits. He actually chuckled when it rippled around him, but hummed with understanding.

From that point on, he was more careful with his abilities to create, and created more often, to keep another dream from taking form.

Unicron did not want another Wonderland on his hands, especially not if the organic humans decided to be unwilling to... 'take' a second one.
Title: Les San-Papiers (Those Without Papers)
Chapter: 1/1
Rating: K-T
Warning: None in the writing itself... again... I'm loosing my touch!
Fandom: Transformers
Pairing: None, Unicron/Sideways if you squint, I guess.
Summary: A god's dreaming doesn't always produce favorable results.
Notes: My entry into the Unicronian Tainted Worlds contest, found here: [link] The 'Dream' itself is based off of the Vocaloid version, which has a few different translations. My favorite is this one, since it matches the most. [link]
The name is based off of the play Notre Dame De Paris from a scene where the Gypsy's beg entrance, but because they do not have passports, and are 'dirty,' they are driven away. If you can see the connection after reading, and then watching the vid here [link] then you can have a internet cookie. XD Yes, I went all over the place with this thing, hidden meanings and shit, and... shit. Lol.

*gasp* Alice of Human Sacrifice reference! Gnee! Personally, I prefer the Re:A version to the original, since it's a bit creepier, but everyone has their own tastes...
*starts reading again so she can fully decode everything* <3
